There’s only a few days a year you can do the whole getup – turtleneck, buttondown, cords, boots, parka w/hood, knit cap, gloves. Might as well enjoy it.
Re women and umbrellas….I actually think it is fat people and umbrellas, OR people who have balance problems and who swing the umbrella backward (sometimes violently) as they are walking. Especially THOSE HUGE GOLF LIKE UMBRELLAS. What’s up with that? Try getting stabbed with a giant umbrella as you are going down the subway stairs or stepping into a slushy corner. Jeez.
Men w/ those huge golf umbrellas for just one person are what I’ve found most dangerous. They also just plow through – not thinking to raise it a foot or two to get past pedestrian congestion.
I like Charlie too.
Dibs – 2.5 lbs of seed gone already this a.m.!
…I need an MRI of my back now.
what the hell is up with the snow this year?
where do I pick up one of those giant mellon-baller looking shovel on a tire whatchamacallits?

I agree, no umbrella in the snow….just wear a hat.
