Easy to tell a democrat from a republican by where the books are in the home. Republican — in a windowless room with dark stained wood shelves, sets of hard bound classics no one has read, leather chairs, a pipe rack and a moose head or gun over the mantle. Democrat — visible from the street, adjustable shelves of cheap pine painted white, two layers deep in paperbacks, in a room with quilts covering torn couches and kids’ toys strewn about the floor.
Ok to the copy of the Federalist (original of course.) however as I understand it you guys only read right wing tracts- er- fiction. Dave, of course, only reads them in the signed first edition.
However, I need no encouragement to be lured to the dark side. I live there- I’m a liberal spy. You can call me Valerie 😉
dibs- you wouldn’t want to see the list of things we learned from Republicans. None of it was worthwhile.
Yes, a real mismatch. Republican library much more conducive to actual reading and reflection, but . . .
Did you see how they portrayed Tony Blair’s kitchen at 10 Downing Street in The Queen? More than half the floor covered in Fisher Price.
Wow, I must be a Democrat after all, slopefarm (apart from teh kids’ toys part).
Good images, Slopey, though I much prefer the Republican library, sans the moose head and the gun.

I think not, repugs!

We mostly write so that the Democrats can learn something from us.

benson,
as cobble said before,
Republicans don’t read, they stare down the books until they get the information they need. 😉
…again my spelling is suckish, that should read “your” up there ^^^^^^^^.
