  1. Suzie Orman is no different than that Landmark Forum. They tell you that “YOU’re the one with the problem so pay me a buttload of money so I can “fix” it for you.” It’s a buttload of crap if you ask me.

  2. et, maybe not in your case, but statistically, it’s the truth. Obviously you thrive on risk. You take a buncha money and give it to someone on faith! You’re way ahead of me, girl.

  3. “Same with “mad money” with Kramer”

My OBGYN looks like Jim Kramer. Imagine me in the delivery room with Jim Kramer down there yelling out orders.

    Dear God.

I really should have thought this through a little better.

  4. There was a documentary called “Maxed Out” which really exposed credit card companies etc
one of the segments was about how the major credit card companies through FICO worked with Suze Orman to get people to care more about their Fico scores etc and through caring about their FICO scores, they would have to apply for more and more credit. She’s also one of the people I blame for the housing crisis…..

On a lighter note, SNL does a great parody of her with Kristen Wigg

  5. ROFL, Legion! And how are Bunkie and Nelson???

    CGar,

…well the 90’s and 00’s were rough, but we’re ready to go for it in the 10’s!

  6. “Women generally will have less in the stock market,”

That’s me. I’m very conservative. I don’t want to lose ANY principal, and I don’t like too much volatility. [So you can imagine how – much more – insane this last year or two made me!]

  7. “Is it that women have less of an appetite for risk?”
    That’s not necessarily ture.
I’m probably more of a risk taker (financially) than my Partner. I had to push and prod him to buy an apartment. He was scared to take the risk and was content renting.
