All hail Directv! That’s what I have too. I use TWC for cheapy internet access though. I got their email a week ago stating that their prices are going up. Luckily the internet is not affected. Their cable prices are going up another $5 on average per package. Insane considering that they are already the most expensive out there.
Kens, Frank the Entertainer or whatever the hell that show you made me watch is called is the WORST! Worse than Jersey Shore, and I didn’t think that was possible. Though the mother makes me laugh.
“In the end, TW agreed to pay and it’s apparently going to set a precedent for much higher fees…ultimately to be reflected in our bills.”
It’s on the front page of today’s Times, Dave. And other broadcast networks are expected to follow Fox’s lead, and TW is then expected to further increase prices. At the moment I don’t care because I have DirecTV, but I fear I’ll end up with TW when I move again.
Snappy, it happened with Fox and they signed up after 7 hours of negotiations. Cablevision and Scripps (owners of HGTV and Food Network) couldn’t reach an agreement and both walked away. Not negotiating anymore and no where in sight that they are getting those channels back. Neither side is claiming otherwise so it might happen at some point or it might not.
CGar, it’s totally a mess but NOTHING is worse than Jersey Shore. Where is THL to weigh in on that??????

I got Top Chef Quickfire cookbook as a New Years/Hanukkah present from a friend. It has dishes from first 5 seasons. Pretty cool.

I really hope so Snapster. It would suck if I lose HGTV.
I can live without HGTV, But not Food. That said, Ahmed from Yard Crashers is REALLY HOT.

No worries Kens…the NYSPSC will force them back to the table. Happens every time.
