MM – loving the posts this week. i’m fondly reminded of the love boat here. julie the cruise director, etc. who gets to be charo and say “coochi coochi”?
there’s a patti smith film by steven sebring on pbs tonight.
read yesterday’s OT last night and thought i’d tell of my schiphol fiasco in amsterdam. after finishing up my studies there in ’91 (ahem) i decided to come back home without anything as a zen exercise. so i gave away all my possessions and went to the airport with just a small carryon. this was a red flag unbeknownst to me. and as they’re interrogating me there’s also that usual question about carrying anything given to me. well one of my fellow exchange students had given me a going away present. and yes she was from israel. so i get taken downstairs and strip searched – the guard doing the duties says to me: “you know i’ve been to thailand before and i really like it there”. ugh. this surely was not the moment to be hit on. plus he was ugly. of course they didn’t find anything on me but they still had the nerve to escort me back upstairs with an armed guard (as in machine gun). so that was annoying. luckily the airline took pity on the humiliation i had to go through and bumped me up to first class because there was an empty seat.
Itunes limits how many computers are authorized to play a purchased song, but you bypass that limit by placing it directly on an Ipod or burning a cd of the music. Once you burn the cd, the 5 machine limit is lost, thus allowing you to re-burn that cd as many times as you want. They have yet to fix that little loophole!

hahah. actually my favorite video games are for the most part plotless. i dont like modern complicated story driven games very much. i mean i do agree with some of your points, but i truly believe my brain is finite and it’s reaching near max capacity so i refuse to fill it with unnecessary stupid stuff like politics and gay icons.
Jessi- I am taking a taxi now to Cobble’s place. If whinelover comes back, just park his bewigged ass on the couch and feed him some Pablum. That way the contents of his stomach will match the contents of his brain. 🙂
LOL MM, I saw the “kitties”…nice work!
morning!

“You cat ladies will notice that I did manage to get two handsome, and diligent kitties on the front page of Brownstoner.”
Sure did! I love the smirk the one on the right has. He looks like he’s totally aware and in on the joke.

THL, what a cutie! I hope someone adopts her.
You cat ladies will notice that I did manage to get two handsome, and diligent kitties on the front page of Brownstoner. Insidious, isn’t it?
“you just connect your ipod to the computer and load it up”
But, but, but…doesn’t iTunes limit how many machines/widgets you can download/copy songs to?
