PA only requires that you take the computerized test for the permit, wait a few days, then go to the parking lot behind the building with your dad’s car and negotiate the turns through the cones. No class, no nothing. I refuse to pay for a 5 hour class. I still say it’s a racket!

blowfish, do you take the NYS Thruway and then the Mass Pike or go up 84?

When I drive to the Cape I take 84 and mass Pike and avoid 95. it sounds crazy but delays on 95 can be such a bitch

Snappy, they are talking about a 5 hour safety class that you have to take in most states and this has been in NYS for at least 10 years cause I took it 10 years ago. Its a stupid class and you sit there and watch videos of people drinking and driving and ending up in a hospital after a crazy accident. It’s supposed to scare you and be responsible. I slept through the whole thing.

I don’t thing need driving lessons…just a 5 hour classroom course…

Of course you’d need lessons if drove in UK….you are accustomed to driving on wrong side of road.

Taking lessons from a friend/relative is one thing. Making me pay some school or other entity for a ‘driver’s education class’ is highway robbery. Shit, just stick a gun in my face and say gimme the $$$.
