Kens, I never told you the story of when I was down in Ixcamilpa, Mexico at my Mexican bf’s home. I awoke one morning to these horrific screams and had no idea whether they were man or beast. Turns out his brothers had strung two goats up in a tree to kill. By the time I actually got up to watch it all, the “good bits” were already spoken for!!!!
I pay for it out of my bonus money. We didn’t take any TARP but we benefitted handsomely from the rise in GS share price…AT THE EXPENSE OF THE TAXPAYERS, OF COURSE.

I don’t think you made money at the expense of tax payers. It is a free country; you saw an opportunity in GS shares and took the risk and made a bet on the shares. You were not going to get a bailout if you lost money on GS shares. You took the risk and was rewarded by it.
The employees of Goldman Sachs, however, did make money at the expense of tax payers.
There is a major difference. I don’t know why you always have this chip on your shoulder and extrapolate everything that I say about bailouts into attacks on capitalism or hedge funds.

stevieb, you should check out what buckfast was saying in the HOTD. You won’t be homeless anymore if you get a place in Philly for $20,000.
