janko is losing it in HOTD. I decided to not feed the troll (or whack the mole) today, but should be given a timeout for using the “F” word over there.
>>1. What kind of oil (olive, vegetable, etc.) do you usually have in your home for regular use for frying, making omelets, stir frying, using on a skillet for various stuff. Which one would you say you mostly use? I am not much of a gourmet cook but I need one that basically covers all angles or as many of them as possible. The most useful type of oil sort of speak.
Hi Kens, for frying, you need a cooking oil with a high smoke point. Olive oil will not be appropriate because it has a relatively low smoke point. Canola or sunflower oil will be better for frying or baking. Canola oil is cheaper than sunflower oil and so I use it for general frying and baking.
Btw, which trader joes do you frequent after work usually? court street?

1) The Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Costco.
2) Don’t eat shellfish. Oh wait, you said grout, not gout. Try Fantastic.

I use a lot of grape seed oil for stir-fying.
Bleach works well on grout.
