Okay, Sycamore get-together – before or after xmas?
I’m there on the 17th but I think Mrs Chicken and the Egg would like my company for at least one evening so 18th onwards is cool with me!
Also, I don’t think I’ve ever spent xmas in NY. Does it stay busy right the way through or are there quiet days when everything closes?
swedish sailor’s beef stew is a recipe i use all the time from epicurious. very few ingredients – beef, potatoes, onions, butter, beer and s&p. baked in the oven. so easy to make and it takes amazing right away as opposed to other stews/soups that taste better the next day. i made it for a dinner party of 10 once – in my haste i forgot that i was using sea salt and didn’t reduce the amount accordingly. when i finally tasted it as the guests had arrived i had to make sure to get everyone drunk so they wouldn’t notice how oversalted it was.
Slopey, I love Clousseau with animals. “Does your dig bit?” That’s funny about your Torts exam. So, what is it I’m not supposed to re-write, that I love a man in uniform with a big snake?
There was a case several years ago in which a drunk businessman did just what you mentioned on top of the snack cart in the middle of an airline flight. True story.

They have pedal-powered computers, BD, just like they had on Gilligan’s Island
