Ditto… I’m not disputing that Papi means Daddy. However, there is a connotation in spanish that is not creepy like “Daddy” in english and it makes me tingly (around the penile region). What can I say.
ditto, it doesn’t really mean daddy or pop in terms of a father. it’s used broadly as a term of endearment towards someone and that someone does not necessarily have to be older.
Look up Papi Chulo in urban dictionary!!! There is a NYC DJ named Papi Chulo…he’s a young guy!!!!!

Perhaps a Spanish speaker here can explain waht it means besides “daddy”.
