“anyone know what the apartments are like in the Cobble Hill Towers? I see they are a brownstoner advertiser”
DH, I haven’t been inside, but I hear they’re very nice – I don’t think they’re large. I was considering moving there myself when I was playing chicken with my landlord over reducing my rent. Really well-maintained buildings with beautiful private gardens between them. (This seems to by my theme today.) As for BQE-proximity, I almost bought 2 different apartments in the Arches, directly across the street from CH Towers on the corner of Hicks and Warren.
changing minds is one thing and hard to do…it is those that don’t have firm opinion that ads are aimed towards. Whether to sell a candidate or product.
But amazing the zillion that Bloomberg spent (I think $157 per vote?)
Legion,
I think your interpretation of election is probably more spin (or wish) than reality. Governors of states are often other ‘color’ than how state votes in presidential elections and congressional delegations. New York state had republican governor for (seems like) eternity but hardly votes ‘red’ in pres. elections. And that rightwing panderer from Minn. that stuck his nose in upstate congressional election represents a state that is pretty reliably democratic for president. Arkansas, Tenn and Wyoming have democratic governors but those state are hardly democratic column.
Different issues on state level. And as in all elections personality often plays bigger role than issues.
