I believe sam mentioned he moved to Park Slope but he was always a huge booster of Brooklyn Heights, as is Minard. Sam also often complimented me on my humour, which was the prime indication to me that he was completely off his rocker.
(Just kidding sam and/or Minard. I happen to like both of you).
Who used to extoll the virtues of cars, use the term “grown-up”, knew alot about architecture and had it in for 11217??

Benson…I’ve been thinking the same thing for WEEKS!! I just didn’t want to say so. I’m glad to hear you say it though. He was the person on this blog who had it out for me most, and Minard started posting right around the same time Sam stopped.
The only thing is that I thought Sam said he lived in Park Slope…or was it Cobble Hill…?
Arkady- indeed he does. I like Minard for the most part. CGar- I don’t think sam is shillstoner. But then, I thought cats are sweet, innocent creatures who only have my best interests at heart. 🙁

On the contrary,I remember Sam once responding to Montrose in one of her Walkabout posts about his friendship with some of the key people in the preservation movement (the Ottner’s and the guy who wrote the “Brick and Brownstones” book).

Sam was amiguous about where he lived. At first, it seemed that he lived in BH, then later he would say PS.

benson- I don’t recall sam being so much of an architectural historian, though. Or sounding quite so pompous (sorry Minard!)
