  1. Is that in “A Shropshire Lad”? The selections from that we learned in high school are so NOT the best selections form that book. no wonder people don’t read poetry, we live in an age of terrible criticism.

  2. Guys;

    Folks are giving quotes for liability insurance, but it really depends upon so many things, as I mentioned above. Top are age, driving record, intended use and anticipated yearly mileage. Also, you should be clear about the amount of liability insurance you’re talking about: the state-mandated minimum (which Iwouldn’t recomend if you have substantial assets) or higher.

  3. kens, it won’t be 1300 after all your cellphone tickets. you’ll need the safe driving class and fact you’ll be 30 next yr to offset some of the rate hike.

    speaking of safe driving class, I need to take me so I can get the disc on Ins. Anyone know of anyplace in downtown BK? In the past, I went to AAA classes in midtown west side

  4. I have always loved poetry- not the contemporary, but older and the war poets -where to begin. I also always fascinated by this Housman poem- any thoughts ?

    Epitaph on an Army of Mercenaries

    These, in the day when heaven was falling,

    The hour when earth’s foundations fled,

    Followed their mercenary calling,

    And took their wages, and are dead.

    Their shoulders held the sky suspended;

    They stood, and earth’s foundations stay;

    What God abandoned, these defended,

    And saved the sum of things for pay.

    -A.E. Housman

  5. thanks Benson – very helpful to know that the whole of BK is rated the same (UK goes by postcode).

    I used to pay around $700 a year fully comprehensive for a 7 year old compact (although that was with full no-claims discount) so it sounds like it’s a bit more but bearable.
