hey biff, that’s a pretty conservative strategy, but W7 has been pretty well beta tested. If you elect to wait, the time to buy would be when the first Service Pack (SP) is released.
I wouldn’t wait personally, remember Windows updates itself automatically on a weekly basis. Not likely to be so bad that you’ll have a horrible experience on a new laptop with a modest amount of peripherals.
I’d vote for oil staying under $90 a bbl for the next few months. But no one knows. Israel drops a few bombs on Iran all bets are off. You can easily hedge using UCO or other ETFs, but I don’t think a coop board should mess around like that…
Kens, does the fuel oil supplier offer commercial customers the ability to prepurchase for the heating season?? I can do this, and did do it, for oil for the P-Town house and Bucks County.
You prepurchase oil at current price plus a small premium and lock in the cost. Typically if it goes down you still get the benefit. But this may only be a residential thing. Not sure if my Brooklyn neighbors do it. I have gas here.

“Better yet, buy a Mac.”
no. dont be a sheep, biff.
*rob*
I also sorta called it – Giants stunk it up. Saints are by far the best team in the NFL

I second a Mac Biff
and it will match your converse.
“Some techie in my family suggested waiting a few months after the October 22 release date to be sure Microsoft has worked out all the kinks.”
Yes, Biff. Also my techie brother’s recommendation.
Generally I would agree with that Biff. Better yet, buy a Mac. It has all the Microsoft software you will need for $99 additional.
Need more computer advice.
We recently discussed buying new computers and the release of Windows 7.

Do people agree with this?
