Years ago my mom and dad were grocery shopping for a cook-out they were hosting. My father *HATES* honey bbq sauce. While in the store, he keeps telling my mother that he hates honey bbq sauce, as if she could forget. While picking up sauces, my mom picked up a bottle of honey bbq sauce to move it out of the way to grab one my dad does like. Not realizing that she wasn’t going to actually put the honey bbq sauce in the cart, my father shouts “I TOLD YOU I DON’T LIKE H*NK*Y BBQ SAUCE” just as a white woman walks by. My mother, horrified, turns and leaves him standing alone in the aisle. (the edited word is the slur George Jefferson used against white people)
pete- I really don’t enjoy those things- loafer went after me because I said I didn’t think a school over the subway was a great idea. Then he started in on basically implying I was lying about living in the area for years. Well, I did, on Schermerhorn. So the nastier he got the more stubborn I got. I love a good argument when people are throwing around ideas. I love good disagreements- one reason I have come to enjoy legion. But to insult my opinion just because you don’t agree with it- I take umbrage 🙂 (besides- us liberal pinko commie types have to stick together)
