In your hands, my dissatisfied fellow-commenters, and not in mine, is the momentous issue of Snarkitude.
You can have no Snarkiness without being yourselves the Snarkers. You have no oath registered in Brownstoner to deny the Snarkitude, while I shall have the most solemn one to “preserve, protect, and defend it.”
The mystic chords of Snarkitude, stretching from every post and comment to every living blogger and brownstone all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Blog, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the snarkier angels of our nature.
As the Voice of Reason, I must ask that you reconsider. Snarkitude is a state of being. To deny it is to deny who we are. And what better way to celebrate the Snark then to have an award. You can’t deny the populace that.
Look how they long, nay, yearn for Snarkitude. Bestow it dude! You have the power.
And I for one think this is a terrible omission! I certainly don’t blame you (I blamed the cursed EVLL! I understand after you’ve put in so much time and effort in winning the award that snarkslope has sorely disappointed you. However we shall lobby for a return of the SOTD. If not, we shall ask DIBS to set up the SnapSnapSnap Awards and I promise you will win the first one (If you can pay dave enough money)

WHO is saying who debased themselves? Ok, I was groveling, just a tad, there may have been a little sniveling, and there may have also been some minor bribery and a few kickbacks involved, but I really think you go too far when you suggest that I, cobblehiller, of Cobble Hill may have in any way debased myself.
I’m innocent! Innocent I tell you! And I never got my SOTD – I was robbed!
Well there ya go. MM comes along and wham! No more SOTD. where is our courage, snarkslope? Where is the stick-to-it-tiveness, the perseverance in the face of adversity? This is your project, your dream, your life’s work- will you let the voice of reason bring you down?? NO, I say! YOur public needs you- will you let down BRG and cobblehiller after they debased themselves (I’d just like to note here that I did not debase myself in order to win this award but hey.)

Actually I’m relieved…you just know BRG was going to totally trash me! It was like a lamb being drawn to the slaughter…but I was trying to keep up a brave face! : )
