  1. Old toys are pretty interesting, my dad was an only child and my late grandmother saved many of his toys, which are now stored in my attic. Most things date from the early 1940’s through the early 50’s. Someone once told me I should catalogue everything but I never get around to it. Some of the stuff up there includes a complete pre war- Lionel Train set with plasticville houses, a complete tin wind up train set, view masters with cartoon slides, western gear, holster, toy pistols, tin cars, as well as all his birthday cards from birth announcement till about 21 years of age… Anyway, if anyone ever wants to watch the first season of the Pinky Lee Show on viewmaster, just give a holler.

  2. I’ve made my argument.

I think his thinking is that this will bring in the money needed to start working on making the basement a family/pool room.

His only request when we went house hunting was that it could accommodate a full size pool table. He carried a tape measure everywhere we went to see if it could fit. Since I’ve nixed the use of the dining room for that purpose (oh hell to the nizzo!) he’s bound and determined to get the basement finished.

  3. THL – But he won’t want the kid to play w/ the ones w/ sentimental value in case they’re trashed. You gotta keep the junk – my great nephews play w/ my old Davy Crockett stuff – what goes around comes back!
