My wife walks with a cane. On a crowded subway, she will ask folks if they would mind giving up their seat. She has told me that most folks do, but that the group that is the least sympathetic is young women.
I gave my seat to a pregnant lady on the subway this morning, and another lady made a point of thanking me. She said, “Women NEVER get up for other women!” I thought that was interesting.
ENY- I used to all the time. I figure it’s Karma and when I needed one someone would help me out.
Now I don’t even ride the subway on the regular so I’m hoping my good karma chits can be reallocated.
