yah, when mangia on wall closed, it was quite a tragedy. pret a manger is still around but nowhere near the breadth of mangia, though they did open a fresco to go. not the same though.
oh m4l i was thinking of the other annoying person. my fakey colleague with the machine gun laugh has also been pretty pathetic. we are few women on the trading floor but darned if we aren’t like estrogen pumped animals in the jungle. houlah!
she just left. i was super bitchy last time she was yapping away being all shrieky so i was talking to my friend really loudly about why do all these people come to our floor and hang out for hours with their loud annoying voices. it was her shortest visit to date! 🙂

When I worked on Wall St – Starwich used to be right across the street – which was decent (but expensive)
Maiden Heaven (maiden just east of broadway) is pretty solid too.
They also closed the Cosi on 70 Pine right before I switched jobs too 🙁
