  1. Hi CG’ed. Finally could afford a decent place about 5 yrs ago, stayed until last year when I couldn’t take it any more. Didn’t help that I lived on Christopher Street then West Fourth over one of the loudest skunkiest bars in the universe. I loved the West Village and still love it, but I’m kinda off Manhattan in general. Not Manhattan’s fault, I’m just burned out on it. Mostly the crowds. Maybe I’m becoming agoraphobic. hmmmm….

  2. Bitter…I’ve got several sweet bippies so betting them is ok 🙂 I just won about 4 of em in a poker game last week! Ha

Bxgirl, I can’t even imagine having them in my back. That has to be hella-painful. What do you do for relief?

THL, the second time I dealt with this, the dr. asked me if I played a lot of sports. I was like, hey, I used to be all healthy and fit, but does it now look like my fat @ss plays anything other than guess what’s for dinner?!

  3. “the west village has kind of turned into a huge celebrity clusterfuck”

CG_ups, when did you live in the West Village? I lived there from 1986-1990, and even though I generally agree, it’s still my favorite neighborhood, outside of Brooklyn of course.

  4. “Biff, I really like Morandi, food is yum but the place has a bit of a scene. You can’t show up wearing madras shorts and German sandals with athletic socks.”

Thanks bitter retort. Fortunately (or unfortunately as I’m going to be schvitzing like crazy by the end of the day) I’m in my formal Jedi attire today, aka, a monkey suit. Sandals with athletic socks should be illegal.
