  1. Dave, Little Mary was awful, though the actress, Virginia Weidler, was quite good as Katharine Hepburn’s younger sister, Dinah Lord, in another favorite movie, “The Philadelphia Story”.

BTW, my college roommate who loves the movie (a member of the Team) is the one I told you about who lives in Philly. I’m sure his house is not far from yours, but I can’t remember the street offhand because he’s bought and sold a couple of houses in Center City.

  2. DIBS,

You may have seen me walking around Billburg in my enormous shouldered blazers, Dallas-high hair and leaving a trail of Giorgio perfume in my wake.

I could also be a bubble-popping, smart-ass 20 something with a taste for awesome 80s tv, Paris Hilton-isms and hyphens!!!

  3. ROTFL…the swastika line!!!!! Yes, I remember and the “jungke red” line is probably the best one in the movie.

I remember once seeing it in the theatre in “gaytown” in Chicago….everyone, myself included, knew all the lines and whenever Little mary came on the whole audience hisssed.

  4. ROFL, dave! I could go line for line with you (as can one of my college roommates), even the most obscure ones!

“I’ve had 2 years to grow claws, Mother. Jungle Red!”

“One of the advantages of being single is you get to spread out in bed like a swastika”. (It was 1938, so this line still passed muster, somewhat.)

Little Mary: “Sheba, get off of Daddy’s coat.”

  5. Bloomberg: Drug CEOs Don’t Make Much Money

NEW YORK (AP/1010 WINS) — The mayor — and wealthiest person in New York City with a fortune estimated at $16.5 billion — made the comments on his radio show Friday during a discussion about health care.

“You know, last time I checked, pharmaceutical companies don’t make a lot of money, their executives don’t make a lot of money — not that they couldn’t be better,” Bloomberg said.
