i should mention bacon more often, i feel so popular. 🙂

max automatically follows me in the kitchen because i always drop something. then he pounced on it. i like to think i drop things accidentally but i do it so often, i think it must be some subconscious desire to humor him.
Gemini, that’s quite good. The S&P (broadest stock market index) is up about 11% year-to-date. I presume you have some bonds and maybe cash as well those and those would be up less than that mostly, depending on what type of bond (Treasuries are down, high yield corporates up a lot ytd).
Short-terms = bonds that are close to maturity (lower risk / lower potential return investment)
g10, assuming your 401k portf was invested in the same funds, etc., how did it do last yr? am asking about last yr to gauge how volatile your holdings are. For example, I know some people who lost 48% last yr and are up 26% which makes sense – ie big swings up or down
I heard bacon with brown sugar makes one, how shall I put this delicately…gassy. CG_Ups, did you accidentally drop some on the kitchen floor recently and your dog got to it?
finance gurus:
I just checked my 401K plan which I never really do. but I made an 11% return since Jan 1,2009 -is that good? Looks nice to see my overall amount jump $10K in 6 months

Biff, are you talking about the story about the number of sex shops in Hokkaid doubling????
gemini, that’s in-line with the S&P 5oo, maybe slkightly ahead as of the EO July.
