    Actually it’s both. Buy organic to reduce the flow of toxins into your body and the ecosystem. Buy local to reduce your carbon footprint.

  2. The problem really lies in that all farming (organic as well) has been industrialized, hence the push for buying local – it’s really more about buying from local small farmers than it is about buying organic.

    maybe so. organic food is much healthier than watching tv. i don’t think i was as condescending as you are towards poor people, but point taken.

    i am talking about america here, not sub saharan africa. jeeze. how many not homeless people in america live without water and electricity? some i’m sure, but a very very small percentage.
