I rented a garden apartment in a narrow building last year with an exclusive, nice backyard near the F train at 7th Ave. The lease began Labor Day weekend. I am attempting to negotiate now with the management company, but they are trying to make me feel grateful for a $50 monthly decrease in my rent. They said the area has been signifigantly less hurt from the falling rents around the city (world). How much harder should I push? Has anyone negotiated a new lease in the area? What kind of rent reduction is in line?
snappy – i’m a sag (fire sign) so i know how to fight back
twss – answer depends on what your rent is currently and how it compares to the current market

I like that. Unfortunately, I don’t have an answer to your question.
“How much harder should I push?”
TWSS, that’s what she said!!
Thanks for all the bakery suggestions, I will try Caputo’s.
I usually don’t like Italian Baked Goods, they tend to have too much cream.
Gem…I think I blow the ‘prim&proper’ Virgo thing! At least online anyway 🙂
