Morning asshats! I read last nights OT conversation and I’m so mad I missed it. Gemology is my passion.
Chicken- Rhodium canisters, Christ. My jaw hit the desk when I saw that. Mostly they use it to plate white gold. It’s so much whiter than white gold (which is very yellow in comparison to platinum or rhodium). That it sets off diamonds perfectly. So if you have a white gold ring that’s turned yellowish take it to be re-plated.
Snappy- Tanzanite is my all time favorite gem. My engagement ring is a deep blue Tanzanite.
Bxgrl- Alexandrite? You must be a June baby. I saved for forever to get one. Then after wearing it about 2 months smacked my hand down on a table and now have a huge crack smack down the center of my it. I died a little that day.
Snappy- thanks for being my kitty pimp! I have the momma scheduled for her ‘procedure’ on Thursday next week. The kittens are going to have to wait a bit seems it’s pretty crowded at the low cost place and appointments are scarce. Momma got in because I have a feeling she may actually be preggers again. She’s a freeking factory!
that other cobble ID (extra “l” in hilller) nearly got me again. was about to say Cobble holding out on us about her buying a house then realize it’s the other cobble ID
Speaking as this site’s resident cyber-gentleman-farmer, I can assure rob:
1. I’m wearing business casual attire and am fully compliant with my office’s dress code (except I’ve rolled up my sleeves). No hayseed here.
2. I think you meant a hoe-down. That silent “e” seems to be pivotal to the meaning.
3. Seriously, you’re seeing a lot of dungarees, John Deere hats and heavy duty work boots in the slope on a 90 degree day? On the kids, too? Or do you have some other notion of what farmers look like?
