actually i doubt that’s even possible, im sure it’s happened. but ive dealth with far more ruder and nastier clients at work than i have cashiers… of course youre going to run into the occassional crank cashier or incompetent one, but cranks and incompetent people need jobs too i guess.
That ranting and raving Eloise woman was objecting to inter-racial couples period, you don’t even need to go as far as hair. I’m not sure she should be living in NYC, its only going to get worse for her.

I’ve been on both sides – I treat them now how I would like to be treated. It’s amazing what a hello and a fake smile will do. Small talk is good sometimes too.

and I know these guys aren’t making that much money per hour, but it’s called basic human decency with a touch of common sense.
no one pays me to be nice to folks – I just am! – same can go for the bratty girl behind the counter who actually IS being paid to be nice to customers
When the little black girls from next door come to swim in my pool they always sympathize with me that I have hair that looks so bedraggled when wet while theirs pops right back up & looks cute.

Biff, the CVS on Court in Cobbler’s hood and that Rite Aid on Court next to Atlantic are pretty friendly – especially that CVS one.
