Kens, I sailed up to the Maritime Provinces in Atlantic Canada. Saw Peggy’s Cove, amongst other beautiful places. Friendliest people in the world.
Lechacal, 30% on cashflow is juicy. Juicy enough for me to look into it.

I thought Lydia Bastianich (Felidia Restaurant) had a place there.
DIBS: Well, there’s Applebey’s, TGIF, Chuck-E-Cheese, Outback Steakhouse, the Cheesecake Factory — and of course some all-you-can-eat buffet places, which are popular with the fatties.
There is of course good bbq, but I can only handle so much of that before desperately looking around for something resebling a vegetable.
And there is the American, sort of a classic place downtown, but that place makes me sad because it is so underappreciated by the locals who would rather go eat in a strip mall in Johnson County.
Kens…the best way to do that in a smaller town is to partner up with a contractor. In many of these depressed areas they are starving for work.
lechacal, spmeone I know has been doing the same in upstate NY by Canada. There is a huge army base there so the rentals are pretty much guaranteed and most are footed by the government. The only problem is actually shlepping there from NYC if some problem occurs in one of the rentals cause if you hire a management company, they’re screw you lovely if you’re not around to witness the problems with your rentals.

Biff, care to tell us where was the location of your vaca? seen anything interesting?
rob, note that even with economics this compelling there is zero chance of my moving out there to take advantage of them.
