sixyears…the hacking that occurred in South Korea over the weekend has been far more widespread here in the US than is being reported. Many US gov’t sites were down for a few hours and some even 2 days.

This was a serious act of computer terrorism most likely from the “tree bark sandwich eaters.”

True. We’ll see what happens down the stretch. Everyone seems to be Red Sox-paranoid, but we’re not too many seasons removed from sweeping those guys in 5 straight games, which everyone seems to have forgotten. The Sox have been the better team the last few seasons, no question. But they still can’t match the Torre era for championships [Sox: 2004 and 2007; Yanks/Torre 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000. Guess what – that’s one of the LESSER title stretches in Yankees history! In the big scheme of things, the Sox just aren’t on the same page with the Yanks. Don’t forget that.

East New York I’ve been a die hard Met fan since ’73. I remember running home from PS 56 to catch the second inning of the World Series. That’s when the World Series was played during the daytime, the good ole days. The New York Mets is and always be “My Team”.
The Phillies are only 4 games in first place and The Mets have suck so far this year. When they get Pultz, Reyes and get everyone else healthy again I think August will be very interesting.

Yep m4L Phillies are champs, respect due. But right now, going into the playoffs last year is most definitely over and the Philies are vulnerable. The division is weak. The Mets have collapsed (good reason – all of their best players except for one are hurt), but they’re STILL only 4.5 games out! The Phillies are looking to sign Pedro, which was not the plan out of spring training, let’s say.

The whole new stadium thing bugs me. Can’t stand Arod and we totally overpaid for underpeforming ‘stud’ pitchers in the offseason.

Interviewed some ghost hunters, some re-enacters, a Lincoln impersonator etc. Plus had a killer family holiday at the same time in a lovely farmhouse on a big plot of land. Really nice 4th.
