oopsie, I think I hit a nerve with my MJ kids post. ENY has particular issues understanding the fundamentals of heredity. There is probably an interesting story there but I’m not going to ask to hear it.
Anyway, as I tell my youngest (who has an uncanny resemblance to both me and his mother)

I never knew asshat was code-word for white people until the What said something. The What is so against racial slurs, he makes it a point not only to know them but to use them (frequently!). Very selfless. The What, you’re a credit to your race.
Gem- every biracial child I know defines themselves or identifies themselves as African American.It’s no insult to the White parent but i think it is a function of how society tries to pigeonhole the kids. I hoped our kids would have found strength and pride from both parents, and be strong enough to define themselves as they saw fit.

I was so proud of team USA btw (reading comments backwords). For USA to be beating Brazil 2-0 for half the game is unprecedented.

dh, Sunday mornings are meant to suck. Always worsened though if church is involved!!!!!
