So true…..and how about 4 floor walkups in the LES with 5-6 of them in a 2 BR apartment. Thats’ why the LES is such a pit….which will happen to Williamsburg as well.

Thanks CH and you too, jester! I was just watching a video of that on youtube when you posted. Of course there are still Regents exams to grade, a mind-numbing activity I perversely look forward to, because every now and then we get a kid who writes something like:
“When I was in elementary school I camped out with my friends in the backyard (this was in San Diego – it was a real badass idea, I know).”
HUH?!?! SAN DIEGO??? What, it must have been like 72 degrees and balmy at night! Sleeping outdoors in a San Diego is like vacationing on the Amalfi Coast compared to a rat-infested Bushwick backyard during spring rains.
