CH, where the heck does your BH do all this woodworking in your aptmt which you describe is cozy? My friends will be buying but they’re as stingy or more than us – ie they’ll only buy if a juicy deal pops up. So they’ll likely end up renting to get into neighborhood and wait for the good deals.
I was really sick on Saturday, so we didn’t go out of town, but on Sunday we did have a staycation in prime Brooklyn. “It’s another world here,” said bf.
*Brunch at Buttermilk Channel (cheddar waffles)
*Old Stone House revolutionary war museum and garden in South Slope
*Brooklyn Yard (grassy bank on the Gowanus Canal)
*Erie Basin, Red Hook antique jewelry shop
*Brooklyn Inn, old bar in Boerum Hill
*Vinegar Hill for dinner
The most amazing thing was discovering totally quiet cobblestone streets and perfectly preserved 19th century storefronts with birds chirping in Vinegar Hill. It was like the H-bomb went off there. We would have thought we were in the deep country, except it’s next to a giant power plant.
I’m happy for Jacqueline. Teresa, however, I’m happy for her, but I’m not so sure she needs another ‘fabulous’ daughter. I wonder if she’d be disappointed if she had a boy this time.
Biff…what a tease. I really thought we were going to see you play.
Re: RHNJ- I posted it way at the end of the day of Friday but it turns out both Jaqueline (4 miscarriages) is pregnant (yea!) and so is (brace yourself) Teresa (I scheeve!)!!
RHNJ girls, check this out…scroll down to the gold lame. You’ll know. Also, read the comments that were left HYSTERICAL!

mopar, BH used a router for the ‘slots’ for the shelves to ‘sit in’. It turned out very nicely.
