Snappy, I thought the same exact thing! Who would close on a home without knowing the price? Who would even look at a home without knowing the price? While I agree that United Homes was predatory with this woman, and who knows how many others….I feel like who can possibly be this ignorant when buying a home? I too was a first time home buyer, knew very little, so went out and learned about what we would be getting into, what we could afford, etc. and made our purchase based on this information. The fact that this woman has not made one mortgage payment since 2004 kills me. I guess ignorance is bliss.
Did anyone see the “Stoler Report” Tuesday night on the CUNY channel? It was real estate show about Brooklyn with reps from Hudson Cos, Toll brothers and the developers of 1 Propect park, ORO, the B and 4th Ave(Gowanus). Toll is still pricing Billyburg at 700-800 SQ foot, the B is at 550-650 SQ foot, 1PP at 750-1500 sq foot, and hold onto your hats they’re predicting 600-650 sq foot for Gowanus when and iff it ever gets developed. Hudson mentioned that 4th Ave was only 1 block from 5th Avenue 7 times. Stoler the host nearly fell off his chair about 4th Ave. They were realist about the hotel situation, it sticks.

ditto, I was around when this video came out and loved that song with a passion. So upbeat and catchy.
By the way, I’m not a Jennifer Aniston fan, but she is shooting a film in Brooklyn Heights right now. She looks quite pretty. Check it out.

I see from their beer menu they have Brooklyn Monster – last time I encountered that the night did NOT end well.
Sorry Biff, busier than ever. How do you know about Slade!
I used to love their christmas songs when I was an ankle-biter.
Kens, good work indeed. Bribes are always effective; unless you’re the Governor of Illinois.
ditto, welcome back!! We missed you. Are you coming tonight?
Rob, see my 9:56am post for details. Isn’t this something like the fourth time you’ve asked? I thought I had no short term memory. 🙂
“Seriously, you won’t have a hard time recognizing Asshats.”
BRG is right, these asshats tend to stand out in a crowd! ; )
“If I did show up, how would I find you guys or know it’s you? You don’t have to say it here in the open. You can send me an email if you prefer.”
Snappy, I’ll be the one wearing the clear plastic pumps!
Seriously, you won’t have a hard time recognizing Asshats.
Boys and girls, my day is really hectic and it doesn’t look like I’ll be in attendence tonight. And will someone please NOT have a drink on my behalf!
Snappy, look at it this way, saving 10-15 bucks on toys means spending 10-15 bucks on booze in Waterfront Ale. You can’t possibly loose!
