Via Fork in the Road, news about a “Northern Italian-style tavern” named Buschenschank coming to Carroll Gardens: “Located at the corner of Court and Sackett streets, Buschenschank will serve Italian and German beer and wine; cured meat boards featuring speck, Westphalian ham, and Laschsschinken; and fresh knödel, sausages, and house-pickled vegetables.” The biz is being opened by James McGown of South Brooklyn Pizza.

  1. Don’t buy German wine in liquor stores. Go to a good wine shop. Some of the best wine in the world comes out of Germany. You’re right about the enamel though.
