A reader tipped us off yesterday to the construction of what looks like quite an upscale restaurant in the former Caribbean Kitchen space at 270 Kingston Avenue in Crown Heights. “This is important for the neighborhood as we have very few food choices/restaurants in this part of Crown Heights,” he wrote, noting that “the only bar on this part of Kingston (called Crown Heights Munchie) closed down about 2 months
ago.” GMAP

  1. I live around the corner, and I welcome the fact that I could go somewhere within walking distance to have a glass of wine. With very few amenities in the close proximity to where I live, I am more than excited to see something fresh come. I would not call it upscale, but warm and cozy with brick walls, banquets, a wall of wine racks to hold bottles and some modern clear glass pendent lighting. It is a great addition to the neighborhood!
