The public notice regarding the liquor license application is a couple of weeks old at this point, but the tipster who alerted us to the fact that a new restaurant is slated for the storefront space at 68 Bergen Street just down the street from Dunkin Donuts just noticed it. The name of the company on the application is Le Anfore LLC. That mean anything to anyone? GMAP
Hi dave, I must parachute in from Hong Kong to tell you that “Kee” is not a surname! It means “record” or “business”.
Lee Kum Kee is the oyster sauce business founded by Mr. Lee Kam Sheung in 1883–Lee Kam’s business.
Actually, I take that back, I think ‘anfore’ might be the Italian spelling…
That’s an amphora, not an anfore…
Or Hung Lo??? I’m not sure which you are using as the surname.
Ummmm, an ancient terra cotta jug that wine was kept in. See above.
Are you realted to Lee Kum Kee?????
What’s an anfore?
Its about time something is happening with that site. Its an eyesore on what could be a great block.
I believe it refers to the ancient terra cotta jugs that wine is kept in.
It’ll be Italian if the name is any indication.
