Emily and Matt Hyland built their restaurant careers working at Brooklyn Central in Park Slope and Smorgasburg’s Pizza Moto, and now they’re ready to open their own pizza place at 919 Fulton Street in Clinton Hill. They’re going to offer pizzas, American fare, and an array of small plates from salads to more robust dishes. The space’s previous occupant was The Wallace, a seasonal American restaurant that closed after only a year in business. The Hylands just signed their lease on September 1 and expect to be open by early December. GMAP

  1. That’s exciting. I hope the pizza is better than Ramagi Brick Oven Pizza, a few blocks down the street. That place is terribly terrible. Otherwise probably the best pizza in the neighborhood will continue to be located at Speedy Romeos.
