Myrtle Avenue between Ashland and Flatbush has probably changed more over the past five years than just about any street in Brooklyn, what with the razing of the entire stretch to make way for Toren, the Andrea and, hopefully soon, another three residential buildings from John Catsimatidis. And now here’s another change: Fleet Street, which for years has been cut off from Myrtle, will soon be a through street. The connecting piece is being worked on now and should be finished within the next week or two. When complete, the traffic will be one-way, northbound. In addition, we hear that you will no longer be able to make a left turn off Flatbush into Metrotech.
That’s one way of thinking about it, Guvna, but if Myrtle Avenue is someone’s destination, they’ll probably just take Fleet Street all the way from Flatbush.
anyone driving on Prince street will now have an outlet onto Myrtle instead of having to circle back around via fleet/wiloughby and flatbush. nice.

South of Myrtle, about 1/4 of the way form Flatbush to Ashland.
It will connect with the short segments labeled on Google Maps as Fair St. and Fleet Pl.

I went on Google maps and couldn’t figure out where this is.
