Navy Yard Already Breached

Yesterday, in one of our less bright moments, we decided to stash our car inside a friend’s building at the Navy Yard in an effort to protect it from falling trees, flying debris, etc. By this morning, we’d decided that the flood risk trumped everything else so we headed down to get our car out. And just in time! The surge had already started, with water coming up over the seawall outside Building 313. Doesn’t bode well for tonight. Meanwhile, we’re taking our chances on the street with our car.
