Italian developer Est4te Four, which is buying into Red Hook in a big way, has released more renderings for the massive office complex it plans at 202 Coffey Street, and also closed on more property.

In December, its purchase of 62 Ferris Street closed for $16,000,000, The Brooklyn Eagle reported. The Eagle also published these additional renderings. Click through to see more.

We previously reported 62 Ferris Street was in contract here, and published three other renderings here.

What do you think of these new renderings? Will Est4te Four soon become to Red Hook what Two Trees is to Dumbo?

  1. Where did the ATF go? Maybe the city sold them the land?? Or the ATF is getting space in the complex.

Aside from that- Holy $hit, I hope the OConnell’s are fighting this just a little bit- the way they did to the first poor schmuck who originally bought 160 Imlay before E4. It seems sad to put office space in waterfront locations. It will be a vacuous and cold and windy- like Water Street and State Street in Downtown Manhattan. Full of nobody at night… ugh- eerie.

In all honesty those waterfront renderings look stale and very 1970’s in their landscaping scheme. I agree w/ no-permits, these folks are NOT Two Trees… I feel like Estate4 are the vultures that come to roost when people are beaten down and ready to give up.

    • Maybe I’m not remembering correctly, but didn’t the O’Connells fight 160 Imlay BECAUSE it was being converted from commercial to residential use? If that’s the case, why would they fight this, which is proposing a commercial use?

  2. no subway access down here. you need a car. is a public transport line in the works in red hook other than the ferry and bus? I bet those expensive new condos will offer a free private shuttle service.

so I guess this is the new nyc suburb style – an ikea, fairway, schools, etc. etc and just wait until bed bath and beyond and a movie theater will move in.. no need to leave your micro-town, right?

Red hook is no longer the cool place to be. all of those artists will get chased out when it becomes too expensive for them. and so the story goes…

i hardly recognize nyc these days. neighborhoods now = micro suburbs! that is the new fabric of nyc.
