There are also other rebates available…Veterans rebates and SCHE rebates for senior citizens. These aren’t ordinarily publicized…you have to poke around the NYC.gov website to find them. I found out about SCHE quite accidentally on the site, enrolled my elderly parents, and along with their Enhanced Star Rebate,they pay half in real estate taxes which is a god-send for people on fixed incomes.
