I think BedstuyMaven has deconstructed the pole dance from an apparel standpoint. Although many of her moves were acrobatic, there was pelvic thrusting, something not readily apparent from the still photographs.
Brenda, just hold on a little longer. I am certain the next Borough President will be much more policy oriented, in that swinging pendulum kind of way.
“She doesn’t seem to have the “assets” that a sex dancer would need.”
She looks pretty good from here. I don’t think this is your particular field of expertise, anyway.
Marty is an embarrassment, with or without pole dancers at a school appearance. Borough Prez, now that it has been stripped (pardon the expression) of its actual clout, should be an honorary, unsalaried cheerleading spot given to someone…honorable. Much good could be accomplished by a publicity hound with class and brains. Is Morgan Freeman a Brooklynite?
Where is that mural, I love that picture! Anybody knows?
DIBS – if this turns into another “pun” thread, it is your fault.
The stuffed mice are cute. I want one for our cats.

Marty “This was not sex dancing”
When it comes to “pole dancing†perception is everything. Is it sex dancing or is it an artistic and acrobatic feat? It all depends on what the performer is wearing. If it is done by performers from Cirque de Soleil wearing psychedelic unitards, it is an artistic and acrobatic feat. If it is done by a young woman wearing skimpy clothing and 6 inch stilettos, it is sex dancing.
My advise to Marty, next time have the dancer wear a psychedelic unitard.
Will there be a separate link to the NY Times article about 38 hours in Brooklyn?
