We’re off for the holiday today but this one couldn’t wait: Over the weekend a reader sent in a photo of the signage that just went up at the old Miracle Grill space at 504 3rd Street in Park Slope. As you may recall, there was some speculation last year that Chipotle would step into the breach when the upscale Mexican spot closed but that rumor was eventually debunked. A burger chain called Cheeburger Cheeburger appears to be the lucky winner. Hot or not?

Snappy, you have an air conditioner, right? That can be hundreds in the summer. I think DIBS’s electric bill is just for the common areas, i.e., the hall lights and outside light.
Gem, I’m looking at shelters in the area he lives in and narrowed it down to small dogs who are already house trained. The two breeds that keep coming up are the JR and beagle.

I have to say, though, that, despite the reputations of various breeds, it really comes down to how the individual dog is socialized and trained. CDog’s breed is not known for being friendly, and is known as being a 1-person dog. CDog couldn’t be more opposite than this “stereotype”!

also snappy the pc thing these days is to never ever buy a dog or to look for a purebreed, but to obtain a dog from a shelter. In this case, a shelter may do well in matching up the dog with the person.
