After its Dumbo location was hit hard by Hurricane Sandy last year, Almondine owner Hervé Poussot decided to close the Park Slope location of his pastry and sandwich shop. This spring, Grub Street reported the exciting news that the Philly-based Melt Kraft grilled cheese joint was slated to move into the storefront at 442 9th Street. (Melt Kraft is a spin-off of the Valley Shepard Creamery, a N.J.-based cheese producer with a shop at 211 7th Avenue in the Slope.) And now it looks like the opening is imminent, if a job posting on Craigslist is any indication. “A second Park Slope shop is about to open incorporating our Philly artisanal grilled cheese menu and a microbrew tap system in a sit-down environment,” reads the announcement. Microbrew plus grilled cheese? Yes, please! GMAP
