Medium-Sized Apartment Building Rises on Union Avenue in Williamsburg

Six stories have risen at 538 Union Avenue near the BQE in Williamsburg, where the owner plans an apartment building. The 13,426-square-foot project will have 13 units, seven parking spaces and a roof deck, new building permits show. So far, the building going up matches the schematic (pictured after the jump), which shows a six-story building, although permits list both five and seven stories.

Building permits were first issued back in 2008, but construction stalled until last year. It looks like the current owners, Adam and Leslie Westreich of Tryad Group, bought the property at the corner of Union and Withers back in 2007 for $1,300,000, according to public records. GMAP
