According to reps from Community Board 6, Park Slope’s Congregation Beth Elohim is embarking on a major restoration of its historic sanctuary on the corner of 8th Avenue and Garfield Place. This building has had serious structural problems in the recent past. Already started: The replacement of the roof, dome, and parapets. The work is supposed to wrap in early December.
