The Friends of Lott House are throwing what they’ve billed as an Appreciation Picnic on Saturday, May 18. The grounds will be open and they are also offering a sneak peek into the first floor of the house. If you haven’t seen the time-capsule interior it’s your chance to take a look before the restoration of the interior begins.

The grounds at 1940 East 36th Street will be open for free from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Bring your own picnic and find a spot on the grass to nibble away the afternoon. There will be music, games and some refreshments provided. The event is weather dependent, so for more details visit their event page here.
