Back in April, Park Slope’s Reis 100 Sandwich Factory at 375b 5th Avenue rebranded itself as small-plates restaurant Kitchen Reis. Well, it’s a good thing that the sign on the storefront is a chalkboard, because it looks like the place has morphed again, this time taking the name Taqueria Reis. While the joint is still serving some sandwiches, the small plates menu has been replaced by “Mexico City style tacos,” burritos, flautas, and the like. More Mexican for Park Slope!

  1. “I have been in business for 12 years, and some dimwitt like yourself comes along and wants to comment,”

    1. Yes, people are known to comment on blogs. I hope you know more about tacos than you do about how this works.

    2. Actually, your last “business” lasted a few months. Tapas was it? The one before that, also a few months…you know the sandwich shop where the sandwiches were about as big as an acorn.

The fake ivy around the sign may have been part of the problem though. I heard people making jokes about it often. Walked by yesterday and someone was pointing out the same thing I said above about your current sign. “Looks ghetto” I believe is what the passerby said.

But again, you clearly aren’t very smart and can’t take constructive criticism. Cost you bigtime as I already have a couple comments on my facebook post with people saying they aren’t going back either. Might want to shut your brownstoner account down now…each post is costing you a couple hundred bucks a month.

  2. Hey Reis,

I am a loyal patron of your bar for almost 4 years now. I give you A LOT of business and have gotten many friends into your bar over the years. In fact, I’ve hosted parties at Bar Reis on 2 occasions.

Guess what, I’m making a facebook post right now to tell everyone I know never to go back to your bar again.

You just lost a TON of business being an ahole.

They will gladly accept my business at High Dive or Commonwealth.

    You aren’t very smart.

  3. Wow, an anonymous comment = the community voice.
Didn’t your mother teach you ‘if you don’t have anything nice to say, keep your mouth shut”
I have been in business for 12 years, and some dimwitt like yourself comes along and wants to comment,
I don’t need to cover anything up , and if a project doesn’t go as planned I try again,

  4. Considering how long your last attempt lasted, “Reis” you might want to consider what the community has to say. Cause the sandwich shop was a BUST!

The sign as it stands makes it quite obvious at first glance that there was something previous and now you haven’t even made an attempt to cover that up. It’s just not good for business. Try a little harder.
