United Home indeed I think they are shady, I have an experience with the company. First and foremost they wont tell you the actual price of the property untill you are going into negotiations (ridiculous). The property that we went to see was a 2 family, but upon researching I found out that it was a single fam converted into a 2 fam 3/2. After seeing the property I asked whats the price the agent answer was he doesnt know but i could sit with his manager and discuss a price. After telling him i wont discuss any deal untill I know the price he eventually mentioned $640000.000. After that i told him i dont need their service anymore.

To Mr. Critical,
Yesterday’s first post was all about the point of view that subprime loans are not the root of all evil.
that’s not my point. my point is all these stories about the unsuspecting poor consumer who is preyed upon by unscrupulous companies with financial trickery. Jeez. Take some responsibility for your own life. You’d think all these subprime lending companies are run by crooks who market to innocent dupes. That’s a great yellow journalism story, it sells papers and if you post the story it attracts readers to your blog and advertisers to your site. It is rife with disingenuity and cynical at its core.
united homes was big advertiser on subways.
so you don’t think United acted shady at all? a 2-week closing? the mom got took, and sure she shoulda known better, but how does United have a ‘side’ here? they made their statements, the Olympia people didn’t return calls. let’s see how the lawsuit pans out.
whatever, the piece is posted here. Where’s the other side of the story.
“Run some stories”? It isn’t like Brownstoner wrote the piece.
