Interestingly, he retired in 2004, right after the first disastrous year of Joel Klein’s control of the DOE. Saul Bruckner of Edward R. Murrow HS, another outstanding veteran principal, retired the same year. Coincidence?
Now in their places we have Klein recruiting 29-year-old fools with almost no classroom experience to his “Leadership Academy”. They’re nothing but company tools and as a NY Times article pointed out, the data shows they do worse than more experienced educators.
I could go on about Joel Klein, but I’ll start sounding like the What.
This is an intriguing photo.
He was 83 but his age contracted roughly 25% from the market high.
Correction? Guess not.
The Principal story says he dies at 63. What else have you been exaggerating Mr B?
