Amzi, seriously, what can be done!?
Sadly, the Borough Park one (which is really in Bensonhurst, and it does make a difference) is not the worst among the other atrocities they build there these days. At least it appears that they used high quality materials this time.
By the way: you would think that these builders would take the time to know what area they are building in. The one on the left is in Bensonhurst, not Borough park. There is not question that 67th Street is in Bensonhurst.
The one on the right doesn’t actually look that bad to me. It’s not a lovely Victorian brownstone, but at least the windows are decently sized and it doesn’t have those steep concrete staircases.
I am under the impression that the exposed meters are a legal requirement and there’s not much that developers can do to avoid them in new construction?

my ex lives in a development in prospect heights that looks exactly like the picture on the right. it’s far from a horror show. it’s a clean, spaceous, relatively cheap place to live and call home. i have no comments about the one on the right as i dont know the pricing of those kinds of houses and apts or what they are.

I guess with these houses we should have expected the cheezy craigslist ads. Anybody called to find out which Caribbean Island the free trip is to with the purchase of the Flatbush place????
